Scale model making · Abuja · Lagos · Nigeria
Scale model makers in Nigeria: the GreyBoulders Scale Model Lab.
Our Scale Model Lab bridges the digital and physical divide. Working with our architects and 3D visualization team, we turn design files into presentation models and 3D-printed prototypes, using Bambu and Creality K1 Max 3D printers, laser cutting, and traditional materials such as paper, fabric, resin and plastics.
What we do
What is included.
- Presentation models for sales centres and corporate lobbies, mounted on a wooden platform with a glass cover
- Large-scale estate models, such as a 47-unit housing estate in Apo, Abuja with every component 3D printed (scale 1:200, a 2-week turnaround)
- Architectural models such as the 1:100 Alicorn by RICS presentation model
- Conceptual prototypes for testing massing and spatial relationships
- Seamless workflow from the design file to the physical model, with no outside dependencies

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
What scale models do you make?
Presentation models for marketing and sales, conceptual prototypes for design testing, and large estate models. Typical scales include 1:100 and 1:200.
How long does a model take?
It depends on size and detail. As an example, our 47-unit Apo 757 housing estate model was delivered in a two-week turnaround.
What are the models made of?
A blend of 3D-printed parts and traditional materials: paper, fabric, resin and plastics, often on a wooden base with a glass cover.
Can you make a model from my architect's drawings?
Yes. We work from design files, and we also support architects, designers and developers outside GreyBoulders.
